About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Implement patients' plans of care based on diagnosis in a timely manner
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers
- Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Perform specific procedures as assigned
- Orient other staff to the department when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- LVN Intravenous Therapy Blood Withdrawal Provider certification
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills, medical procedures, views, and equipment
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-form data and instructions
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills for explaining sensitive information clearly and professionally
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
