About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the outpatient medical facility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures and patient billing
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based data and instructions
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines within standardized policies and procedures
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an interruption-prone environment
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions
  • Ability to ensure the privacy of patients’ Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and staff
  • Ability to travel as needed between Elk Grove and Sacramento
