Key responsibilities & impact

Serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility
Greets and checks-in patients
Verifies information and schedules appointments
Facilitates intake procedures such as completion of healthcare and insurance forms
Collects payments for services
Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and their family/support group
Adheres to all organizational, local/state/federal regulations and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
1 year of recent relevant experience
Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
Possess written and verbal communications skills
Well-developed time management and organizational skills
General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ensure the privacy of each patient's Protected Health Information (PHI)
