About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility
- Greets and checks-in patients, verifies information, schedules appointments
- Updates Electronic Health record (EHR)
- Facilitates intake procedures and collects payments
- Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and their families
- Adheres to organizational, local/state/federal regulations and policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- Possess written and verbal communications skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- General knowledge of computer applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ensure privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI)
