About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Director of Pharmacy Sourcing & Contracting plans, implements, and manages the performance of contracting and product sourcing.
In partnership with Director of Pharmacy Procurement, will support pharmaceutical purchasing, supply chain resiliency program, and cost allocation for Sutter Health Department of Pharmacy.
Maintaining vendor relationships and strategic planning both independently and in collaboration with other members of SH system pharmacy and strategic sourcing staff.
Enhance the direct involvement of clinical and administrative staff in the contracting and value management process to improve the affordability of hospital, ambulatory and physician foundation sites.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
PHARMD - Doctor of Pharmacy degree
PHARMR – Registered Pharmacist (Not required to be CA)
6 years recent relevant experience
Health-system pharmacy environment
Sourcing, contracting, and related duties
Negotiating contract agreements
Standardization of product selection and related clinical care processes
Generating accurate and actionable metrics related to pharmaceutical sourcing and contract compliance
