About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the management of multiple medium-sized projects and/or large-sized projects.
- Assists in the establishment and implementation of Sutter digital project management operations (PMO) project management processes and methodologies for the information services (IS) community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet client expectations.
- Accountable for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues.
- Responsible for the tracking of key project milestones, adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of clients, and coordinating communication with other teams and clients in relation to scope of management, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's degree: Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5 years recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of general Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), project management methodologies and/or Sutter Health’s project methodology.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel
- Ability to use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.
- Ability to make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.
- Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions.
- Ability to organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
- Preferred: experience in using Strategic Portfolio Management within the ServiceNow platform.
