About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and partners
- Engage with customers to understand technical and business needs
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify gaps and challenges
- Take responsibility for technical aspects of deal progression
- Champion the technical validation process
- Communicate customer feedback to SUSE’s teams
- Collaborate with sales, partner ecosystem, and customer success teams
- Develop go-to-market strategies with regional sales teams

- Draft responses to technical segments of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Transfer knowledge to pre-sales peers and contribute to internal education

- Focus on professional development and advancing skills as a Technical Sales professional
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture
- Practical skills with Linux systems, open-source software, and related infrastructure solutions
- Experience with cloud computing and container technologies like Kubernetes
- Proven ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly
- Experience in creating technical demonstrations and whitepapers
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and customer success teams
- Experience in designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions
- Exceptional consultative-selling skills
- Proficiency in competitor analysis and solution positioning
- Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari)
