About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- We are looking for a Project Manager to own the coordination and delivery of engineering and product work across Surt. This is not a status-reporting role, it is a delivery ownership role. You will be the person who keeps complex, multi-track work moving, surfaces blockers before they become problems, and gives the team the structure it needs to ship without slowing down.
- You will sit at the interface between leadership and engineering, translating strategic direction into structured execution, and surfacing what is happening on the ground to the people setting the course. In a company where everyone owns more than one thing, you are the person who keeps all the threads connected.
- Product stability and readiness: Owning the health of your assigned products end-to-end, tracking open issues, coordinating resolution across teams, and ensuring each product is in a state that is ready to grow, scale, and be relied on by clients.
- Sprint planning and execution: Running planning, refinement, and retrospectives across engineering squads, keeping work scoped, sequenced, and moving.
- Roadmap coordination: Tracking progress across multiple products and workstreams, flagging risks and dependencies early.
- Cross-functional alignment: Connecting engineering, product, design, legal, and QA so decisions get made and work does not stall between teams.
- Release coordination: Owning the logistics of release cycles, ensuring readiness across all involved parties before anything ships.
- Process and tooling: Maintaining and improving how the team works, including Jira workflows, documentation standards, sprint metrics, and delivery rituals.
- Stakeholder visibility: Keeping leadership informed on progress, risks, and decisions without creating overhead for the people doing the work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience managing software engineering delivery in a fast-moving environment: You know how to keep a team shipping without becoming a bottleneck yourself.
- Strong organizational instincts: You think in dependencies, risks, and sequences, and you notice what is missing before someone else does.
- Comfort working across technical and non-technical stakeholders: You do not need to write code, but you need to understand enough to have a meaningful conversation with engineers. Equally important is knowing what you do not know and when to pull in the Tech Lead or the team rather than making a call that is not yours to make. For deep technical and architectural questions, that support is there.
- A bias toward clarity: You turn ambiguous situations into structured next steps, and you write things down so others do not have to ask.
- Autonomy: You take ownership of a problem and drive it to resolution without waiting to be told how.
- Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments is a plus, not a requirement.
Benefits
Comp & perks- A high-ownership role with direct access to leadership and real influence over how we build.
- A seat at the table, not a coordination layer on top of it.
- A team that values clear thinking, good process, and people who make things easier for everyone around them.
- Competitive compensation and the opportunity to grow with the company.
- Based in our Monterrey office, hybrid is possible for candidates already living in the region.
