About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Market development & new customer acquisition
  • Identify and systematically approach target customers in the medical technology sector: hospitals, hospital groups, medical device manufacturers, leasing companies and public entities
  • Independently build a reliable customer network in the German market — from initial contact through to contract closing
  • Close coordination and collaborative market development with the experienced UK team at Surplex, which already operates successfully in this area
  • Relationship management & advisory
  • Establish long-term partnerships with decision-makers at executive and procurement levels
  • Advise customers on optimal asset disposition strategies for medical devices, equipment and installations
  • Represent Surplex at industry events, trade fairs and within medical-technology networks
  • Strategy & expansion
  • Develop a sustainable go-to-market strategy for the German medical-technology market
  • Ongoing market monitoring, competitive analysis and identification of new customer segments
  • Report to sales leadership and actively contribute to the international growth strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of B2B sales experience — ideally with direct relevance to medical technology, healthcare or the trading/leasing of medical equipment
  • Established network of contacts with decision-makers in hospitals, hospital groups, medical device manufacturers or in the leasing/finance sector for medical capital equipment
  • Proven track record in independently acquiring new customers and building new business areas — including from scratch
  • Pioneering mindset and the ability to set up structures in a new market independently, without relying on pre-existing processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at executive level
  • Very good German language skills; English skills for collaboration with the UK team
