About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development of de novo equipment and supply budgets and oversee planning, purchase, or lease of equipment, furniture, medical instruments, and supplies
- Manage, monitor, and forecast equipment budgets; identify cost variances and implement procurement strategies aligned with approved project capital plans
- Participate in internal and external design, construction, and project meetings
- Coordinate and manage the furnish-and-install FF&E matrix with project stakeholders
- Coordinate fixed equipment vendors and architects during schematic design and design development phases
- Develop and manage vendor relationships for competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and strong service performance
- Review and provide guidance on equipment proposals, purchase orders, and invoices for contract alignment
- Partner with physician end users to evaluate equipment options and balance clinical preferences with enterprise standards
- Establish delivery schedules for start-up equipment, furniture, instruments, supplies, and pharmaceuticals
- Coordinate deliveries, warehousing, equipment installation, commissioning, end-user training, and operational handoff
- Oversee vendor and GPO credentialing, credit applications, and required documentation
- Manage multiple projects across various development stages
- Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of equipment and procurement issues throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of ASC procurement experience, including at least 5 years at the Director level or higher
- Demonstrated expertise in ASC equipment budgeting, planning, and procurement
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across enterprise-level departments
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software
- Practical experience developing and managing project work plans and workflows
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines with a strong sense of urgency
- Mobility required to navigate various facility conditions and activities during setup
- Primarily office-based environment with occasional exposure to patient care areas
- Ability to travel up to 50%
