About the role
- Participate in monthly demand consensus reviews to drive alignment and accountability to the integrated demand plan
- Ensure alignment with Marketing & Sales in development of the consensus forecast and document assumptions
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering and Supply Planning using historical orders, shipment data, POS trends, field inventory, and promotional data to develop demand plans
- Utilize SAP Demand Planning and the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to develop SKU-level forecasts and a rolling 24-36 month family-level Demand Plan for the RLC portfolio
- Communicate, quantify, and proactively report significant forecast changes, variances, and risks to cross-functional partners and management
- Review forecast metrics (EVA, BIAS), analyze root causes of variability, and implement improvements to forecast accuracy and reduce bias
- Create and present regular reports and dashboards on forecast performance
- Collaborate with Supply Planning and Manufacturing on planning scenarios and strategies and escalate supply concerns
- Participate in Annual Business Plan development and support weekly Integrated Tactical Planning (Sales & Operations Execution)
- Contribute to implementation and maintenance of demand planning and IBP tools
- Participate in new product launch planning and end-of-life product phase-outs from a demand perspective
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields required
- 3-5 years of relatable experience in demand planning, including use of demand planning software
- Capable in data management and analysis in Excel; Strong Excel skills
- Proficient in demand planning methodologies, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques
- Experience using demand planning tools (e.g., SAP Demand Planning)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving ability
- Preferred: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
- Preferred: Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with Toro products, customers, and dealer/rental channels
