QA Automation Engineer

• The Automation Internship will provide technical support to project teams developing automated manufacturing and material handling equipment and will assist in development and support of various industrial manufacturing systems. Systems supported will include custom test equipment, PLC driven industrial equipment, smart tools, run-up tables and other automated or “smart” equipment.
• In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Support project teams by developing schematics and documentation for automated equipment Assist in the development, construction, and integration of automated equipment – modify existing equipment to optimize performance or integrate new features Support site’s manufacturing lines by providing on-site or remote technical troubleshooting of automated equipment Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot or help build/install equipment Help develop, deploy, and maintain run-up station software Work on understanding of enterprise information system tools such as a manufacturing execution system (MES), Augmented Reality (AR) systems or other systems as required, and the integration of equipment to these systems. Assist with the organization’s front-line transformation to understanding and using these tools Assist in specifying components for systems, purchase of components, and maintaining project budgets and inventory Frequently report verbally and in writing on project status Other duties as assigned.
