About the role

  • Design and implement control plane services in Go that manage workloads across a large fleet
  • Build APIs for configuration distribution, rollout coordination, and health tracking
  • Integrate with identity systems (OIDC, mTLS, token services) for secure bootstrap and operations
  • Work closely with other engineers to ensure smooth rollout waves, canary deployments, and automated recovery
  • Contribute to observability: exposing service metrics, building dashboards, setting up alerts
  • Participate in code reviews, system design, and long-term architecture planning

Requirements

  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems (control planes, schedulers, config management, etc.)
  • Familiarity with authentication/authorization standards (OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
  • Experience building APIs and working with manifest-driven or declarative configuration systems
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, metrics, and health-based rollouts
  • Bonus: Exposure to Kubernetes-style reconciliation loops, service mesh, or large-scale rollout systems
