About the role

  • Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with business and product strategy.
  • Lead AI/ML integration, including agentic AI, LLMs, and responsible AI deployment.
  • Establish standards for scalability, security, and resilience.
  • Build and mentor engineers and engineering managers, foster accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit top talent and create clear career development pathways.
  • Oversee product development ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Implement Agile/DevOps practices, own architecture and tooling decisions.
  • Partner with CTO and Head of Product on priorities, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as technical advisor in customer and partner conversations.
  • Manage engineering budget, headcount, and tooling investments.
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions balancing speed, cost, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing managers.
  • Experience managing teams of 8+ engineers and external consultants, with a track record of scaling teams during growth.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering teams in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Strong technical foundation in software and systems design, with the ability to engage credibly in architectural discussions.
  • Experience implementing Agile methodologies and DevOps practices at scale.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering products on time and with high quality.
