About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle complex, non-standard service cases
  • Collaborate closely with product managers

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems on Supermicro equipment onsite and remotely
  • Lead preventive maintenance actions and manage repair/parts cycle times

  • Manage and quickly correct escalation situations
  • Provide second-line support to resellers and distributors
  • Work with Technical Account, Service, and Product Managers to define service programs
  • Provide fault-triage information and training materials
  • Run tests and simulations at the company facility
  • Travel to the field to train customers or resolve customer issues
  • Train new service engineers
  • Determine technical issue requirements and root causes with customers
  • Manage day-to-day tickets in the SMC Service Portal

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • On-site and remote troubleshooting of complex technical problems on Supermicro equipment in an enterprise environment
  • Experience required in a similar role
  • Business-level English or above
  • Driving license
  • Ability to work physically, including lifting items while installing servers and replacing parts
  • Ability to work at customer locations
  • Deployment and maintenance experience with servers and GPU systems
  • Networking and cable management knowledge
  • FW/BIOS configuration knowledge
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under Technical Account Manager direction and take ownership of a customer base
  • Ability to work independently in the field, research solutions, implement fixes, and escalate unresolved problems
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and make sound business decisions
  • Experience generating and presenting quality reports is a plus
