About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of rack-level system deployment projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Define project scopes, draft Statements of Work (SOW), and calculate resources and timelines based on customer requirements
- Serve as the primary customer contact during deployment, managing communication, expectations, and alignment
- Perform on-site hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and service desk ticket handling when no active deployment projects are underway
- Independently manage service workflows and respond to technical challenges in dynamic data center environments
- Observe and manage rack movement within the data center
- Support hardware remediation and resolve hardware-level failures during deployment
- Unpack systems, perform rack stacking, rack mounting, and server integration
- Manage high-density power distribution connections and validate pre-deployment configurations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in data center operations, IT service delivery, or technical project management
- Proven experience leading and managing rack-level system deployment projects
- Experience drafting Statements of Work (SOWs), calculating project timelines, and coordinating resources for complex customer projects
- Hands-on experience with high-speed and structured cabling systems
- Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, GPU systems, and data center networking
- Proficiency in hardware diagnostics using BIOS, UEFI Shell, PXE, and DOS
- Troubleshooting experience in Linux and Windows server environments
- Expert-level capability in on-site deployment tasks, including rack movement, hardware remediation, unpacking, rack stacking, rack mounting, server integration, power connections, and configuration validation
- Ability to travel frequently within the country of residence or internationally within a 6-hour flight radius
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
