About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead sales, FAE, and product team to design and engineer Storage solution proposals to influence and win enterprise customer
Lead engineering, service and technical support organizations to resolve all customer issues ensuring operational excellence in post-sales system and technology deployments
Design and define next-generation storage server system architecture and work with product managers to manage product development cycles and customer delivery
Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure product roadmap is competitive in the market
Work closely with internal engineering team to ensure clients' expectations and requirements are incorporated in the new platform
Ensure customer overall satisfaction, collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve clients' issues or concerns in a timely manner
Write technical white papers related to prototypes as well as final resulting products
Work w/ marketing to publish products and white paper on tech magazines, etc. and promote the final storage system
Must review SMCI stg system and create 3 new storage systems per quarter based on available market trends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experiences, MBA is highly preferable
At least 8 years of experience in business development or promoting storage solutions, or server/computer hardware products solutions preferred
Prior experience working with tier 1 and/or tier 2 OEM’s, broad experience across product management, product marketing, sales, and business development roles
Solid communication skills in both verbal and written
Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills
Strong executive presence with a track record of winning mid to large clients/business
