About the role
- Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance, regular facilities inspections and life-cycle requirements
- Designing and planning facilities layout
- Coordinate intra-office moves, allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
- Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
- Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations
- Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency
- Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
- Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
- Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
- Performance manage, develop and train staff
- Prepare and track facility budget then monitor expenses and payments
- Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditure and purchases
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Advise on and monitor energy efficiency
- Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
- Overseeing and directing all construction projects, including review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
Requirements
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Excellent English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills will be given priority
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, refrigeration and air conditioning and energy engineering or related qualification such as project management or construction management
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
- Knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, electrical and mechanical systems, procurement and contracts
- Experience in construction, facility maintenance, property and utilities management and all facets of facility operation
- Supervisory, financial, budgeting experience and emergency preparedness
- Solid computer and systems knowledge
- Sound knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- License: Necessary: Level B Occupational safety and health management personnel or class-1 manager of Occupational safety and health affairs. Better: Fire fighting management personnel
