About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Introduce cable solutions into Super Micro’s servers and storage systems based on market opportunities
Provide product support for electrical, mechanical, and thermal aspects
Troubleshoot cable-related issues as needed
Articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users
Participate in cross-functional operations teams including Engineering, Commodity Management, Supply Chain, and Quality
Partner with design engineering and operations technical teams to assess and drive program risks
Plan and drive execution of engineering development builds through ramp-up
Review vendor product specifications and perform product qualification plans
Enter data accurately from varied sources into company database systems
Support Sales, Engineering, and Procurement on customer-related cable issues
Manage development of cable solutions with the System team
Lead and manage a small team of product managers if needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience; familiarity with cable solutions for Server/Storage products is preferred
Program/Project Management experience is a plus
Ability to create positive relationships with internal and external team members
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Understanding of high-speed cable and power safety regulation and RoHS specification for worldwide customers
