About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Expand Supermicro's customer base in targeted areas
- Maintain the quality, efficiency, and integrity of Supermicro's sales process
- Conduct marketing activities and work with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs teams
- Approach customers in Government, Data centers/Cloud, AI, and HPC
- Conduct outbound cold calls to potential customers, including system integrators, VARs, and OEMs
- Qualify opportunities and create target lists for vertical markets
- Develop relationships and communicate product and market information
- Monitor inventory, negotiate prices, enter and monitor order starts, facilitate credit issues, and negotiate returns
- Develop superior customer service relationships with prospects
- Consistently achieve leads and quotas
- Produce reports as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering or similar fields preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a Federal sales environment required
- Focus on selling to DOE preferred
- Passion for sales activities
- Able to work positively under deadlines and constraints, result-oriented and attentive to detail
- Multi-task and time management skills are a must
- Consistently meeting/exceeding assigned jobs/goals in timely manner
- Strong communication skills across multiple disciplines and cultures; demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Experience tracking and reporting data on lead activity
- Strong written and verbal skills in English are a must
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus
