About the role
- Designing and implementing of Superloop’s Optical network infrastructure.
- Proactively monitoring Optical network performance.
- Troubleshooting network faults, resolving escalated Optical network issues.
- Adhering to all network security standards.
- Managing and maintaining Optical network documentation and inventory.
- Collaborating with other business units where required.
- Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Adhering to all company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, operations and maintenance of Coherent Muxponders, Fixed grid multiplexers, ROADM’s, Optical Protection switches, EDFA line amplifiers and submarine Line Terminal Equipment.
- Strong background in designing, implementing, and operating carrier-grade optical transport networks.
- Knowledge of DWDM, ROADMs, coherent modulation, and network automation.
- Deep knowledge of long-haul, metro, and subsea transmission systems.
- Strong track record in troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Comfortable with vendor platforms such as Ciena, Cisco and PacketLight.
- Experience in scripting or automation and building scalable, reliable, and observable networks.
