About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, configure, build, test, and maintain Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) applications.
Serve as the primary application resource for Claims and Remittance functionality within Epic Resolute PB.
Configure and support claims processing, claim edits, remittance posting, reimbursement workflows, workqueues, and charge entry.
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize Professional Billing workflows.
Support ongoing Revenue Cycle stabilization initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve billing accuracy, reimbursement, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolution to application support requests.
Participate in system upgrades, integrated testing, go-lives, optimization initiatives, and ongoing maintenance.
Develop and maintain build documentation, workflow diagrams, and application support documentation.
Ensure Epic build aligns with organizational standards, payer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with operational leaders to recommend workflow enhancements and long-term improvements to the Professional Billing application.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) Certification or Accreditation required.
Epic certification or significant experience with Claims, Remittance, Charge Router, and Benefits Engine strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Four (4) years of relevant healthcare IT or revenue cycle experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
4+ years of Epic Resolute PB build, implementation, and application support experience in a healthcare environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting Claims processing, Remittance, reimbursement workflows, and Professional Billing operations.
Strong understanding of professional billing workflows, payer regulations, revenue cycle operations, and reimbursement methodologies.
Experience supporting complex health systems, academic medical centers, or multi-specialty physician organizations preferred.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel monthly for project activities, workshops, and go-live support.
