About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, configure, test, maintain, and optimize Epic Ambulatory applications and related workflows
- Support ambulatory clinical workflows including provider documentation, results review, order management, patient throughput, and operational optimization
- Support lab-related workflows including: Reference lab integrations OTX (Order Transmittal) functionality Result routing and reconciliation Base/common name maintenance Lab naming conventions and workflow support
- Collaborate with laboratory teams, integration teams, clinical operations, IT leadership, and external vendors to support workflow improvements and operational initiatives
- Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, and integration issues while providing advanced break/fix support
- Participate in workflow design sessions, integrated testing, system validation, and user acceptance testing activities
- Support Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, releases, and ongoing maintenance activities following change management best practices
- Assist with interoperability initiatives including Care Everywhere, interfaces, and cross-system clinical data exchange
- Develop and maintain documentation including workflows, testing scripts, build documentation, and support procedures
- Provide go-live, post-live stabilization, and optimization support across ambulatory and ancillary clinical workflows.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Epic Ambulatory Certification
- 3+ years of experience supporting Epic applications within a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider operations
- Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues in a clinical setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
