About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, configure, test, maintain, and optimize Epic Ambulatory applications and related workflows
  • Support ambulatory clinical workflows including provider documentation, results review, order management, patient throughput, and operational optimization
  • Support lab-related workflows including: Reference lab integrations OTX (Order Transmittal) functionality Result routing and reconciliation Base/common name maintenance Lab naming conventions and workflow support
  • Collaborate with laboratory teams, integration teams, clinical operations, IT leadership, and external vendors to support workflow improvements and operational initiatives
  • Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, and integration issues while providing advanced break/fix support
  • Participate in workflow design sessions, integrated testing, system validation, and user acceptance testing activities
  • Support Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, releases, and ongoing maintenance activities following change management best practices
  • Assist with interoperability initiatives including Care Everywhere, interfaces, and cross-system clinical data exchange
  • Develop and maintain documentation including workflows, testing scripts, build documentation, and support procedures
  • Provide go-live, post-live stabilization, and optimization support across ambulatory and ancillary clinical workflows.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Epic Ambulatory Certification
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic applications within a healthcare environment
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider operations
  • Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
