About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, configure, test, maintain, and optimize Epic Ambulatory applications and related workflows
Support ambulatory clinical workflows including provider documentation, results review, order management, patient throughput, and operational optimization
Support lab-related workflows including: Reference lab integrations OTX (Order Transmittal) functionality Result routing and reconciliation Base/common name maintenance Lab naming conventions and workflow support
Collaborate with laboratory teams, integration teams, clinical operations, IT leadership, and external vendors to support workflow improvements and operational initiatives
Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, and integration issues while providing advanced break/fix support
Participate in workflow design sessions, integrated testing, system validation, and user acceptance testing activities
Support Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, releases, and ongoing maintenance activities following change management best practices
Assist with interoperability initiatives including Care Everywhere, interfaces, and cross-system clinical data exchange
Develop and maintain documentation including workflows, testing scripts, build documentation, and support procedures
Provide go-live, post-live stabilization, and optimization support across ambulatory and ancillary clinical workflows.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Epic Ambulatory Certification
3+ years of experience supporting Epic applications within a healthcare environment
Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider operations
Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues in a clinical setting
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
