About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • We are looking for a Specialist Engineer to work on the development, specification, improvement, implementation and technical support of industrial equipment used in LPG bottling plants.
  • This professional will serve as the technical reference for projects, operations and installation of critical equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct performance, reliability, integrity and safety analyses of equipment.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, descriptive reports, scopes of supply and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide technical leadership for projects involving equipment replacement, modernization and technological upgrades of the plant.
  • Perform technical feasibility studies and risk analyses for new equipment and processes.
  • Propose improvements to reduce losses, increase productivity and mitigate recurring failures.
  • Support Maintenance, Operations and Safety areas on critical matters involving:
  • Filling carousels.
  • LPG pumps and compressors.
  • Filling and painting systems.
  • Pneumatic equipment or equipment located in classified/explosion-risk areas.
  • Ensure alignment with safety, quality and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Interact with national and international suppliers for specification, maintenance, testing and FAT/SAT of equipment.
  • Monitor construction and assembly activities, ensuring technical compliance and safety.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (active CREA registration).
  • Proven experience with equipment for LPG bottling plants, such as:
  • Filling carousels.
  • LPG pumps.
  • LPG compressors.
  • Cylinder painting systems.
  • Ground chain conveyors.
  • Filling headers and pneumatic equipment.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment for classified/explosion-risk areas (gas and oil), including Ex d, Ex e, Ex i.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Experience in mechanical integrity management, inspections, hydrostatic testing and risk assessment.
  • Experience with instrumentation, pneumatics and automation (valves, sensors, PLCs, Ex-rated control panels).
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar).
  • Experience implementing CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Continuous improvement and Lean methodology.
  • Failure analysis (RCFA, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis).
  • Functional safety standards (e.g., SIL/ISA).
  • Technical English for reading manuals, interacting with international manufacturers and providing technical support.
