About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Guiding the Kotlin backend developers in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications
Collaborating with the software architect to define and evolve system architecture
Actively engaging in coding, code review, and enforcing best practices
Collaborating with Customer Support, Infrastructure Support, and Application Support teams
Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 client support
Mentoring and coaching team members
Efficiently managing tasks and providing technical insights
Maintaining communication with the Project Manager
Staying up-to-date with the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proficiency in Java ecosystem, familiarity with Java 17, 21
Kotlin experience is a huge plus
Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Spring, Micronaut, or similar technologies
Experience with AI-powered coding tools/agents
Strong OOP mindset and commitment to SOLID principles
Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
Genuine interest in latest industry trends
Passion for writing clean code
Expertise in Containerization and Kubernetes is a significant advantage
Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members
At least an intermediate level of English language skills
