About the role
- Independently execute on large DevOps projects such as major migrations, product rollouts, and infrastructure enhancements
- Leverage expertise and collaboration skills during incidents to drive rapid resolutions
- Take initiative to research new technologies and upskill both the DevOps team and the broader engineering organization
- Mentor junior engineers / interns. Leverage modern AI technologies both within the team and to provide novel capabilities to the company
- Contribute strategically during objective setting, retrospectives, and cross-team discussions
Requirements
- 5+ years as an infrastructure/DevOps engineer with notable major projects completed
- Significant experience building and operating environments with AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform
- Familiarity with production monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Strong technical background with knowledge of networking, Linux operating systems, and backend software engineering
- Ability to code in a modern language well enough to write a single-file script and review python tooling code changes for the team Track record of successfully leveraging written communication skills while managing projects.
- Experience playing critical roles during incident response and root cause analysis
