About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, schedule, and complete service and warranty-related work
  • Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule
  • Allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager
  • Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians
  • Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices
  • Support onboarding and training of new field performance team members
  • Exceed field performance KPIs, including turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed
  • Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned
  • Work independently and as part of the Performance O&M team
  • Interact with customers, Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and centralized scheduling Field Service Team
  • Identify and report safety hazards and encourage safe work practices
  • Troubleshoot issues, escalate problems appropriately, and follow up with customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required
  • High School diploma is required
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a driving background check
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards
  • Working knowledge of current NEC codes
  • Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter
  • Knowledge of electrical principles related to solar interconnection/tie-in and PV system operation
  • Understanding of interconnection activities and basic construction principles
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven customer service track record
  • Ability to meet deadlines and key metrics
  • Logical decision-making and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to transport materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, rafters, roof tiles, roof shingles, and at heights
  • Ability to work outdoors in excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environments, and humidity
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces
  • Ability to distinguish red, black, yellow, white, and green
  • Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
  • Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protections
  • Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred; may be required depending on state requirements
