About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides exceptional daily service to client staff
- Manage a variety of staffing situations and employee relations
- Own complex client HR engagements
- Maintain employee confidence and protect confidentiality of personnel data
- Provide support in managing existing and emerging union bargaining units
- Support the management of leave of absence (LOA) programs
- Support the research, drafting, and update of HR policies
- Maintain and deploy working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
- Respond in an accurate and timely manner to client-facing inquiries
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of Employee Relations and employee-facing experience
- Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws, as well as NLRA and NLRB processes
- Outstanding organization and prioritization skills
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to think critically
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong research skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to draft high-quality correspondence and written materials
- Passion for philanthropy, nonprofits, or foundation operations
- Preferred: Union environment experience, workplace investigation experience, Salesforce and ADP proficiency, HR certification or HR degree
