About the role
- Point of contact for occupational safety and environmental matters at the Solingen site
- Advise managers and employees on workplace and process safety
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and internal HSE requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and safety training
- Document workplace accidents and incidents and plan corrective actions
- Monitor waste disposal and develop waste reduction concepts
- Collaborate with the company physician, occupational safety authorities and external service providers
Requirements
- Degree in engineering or qualification as a technician or master craftsman
- Certified Occupational Safety Specialist in accordance with § 7 ASiG
- Several years of professional experience in occupational safety and environmental protection
- Excellent knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, technical rules and standards
- Familiarity with the ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Experience in chemical or electroplating plants
- Business-fluent German; good command of English
