About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Web Development team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize custom backend functionalities, modules, and integrations for Magento 2 platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate Magento 2 platforms with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and shipping providers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Magento 2 best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues to ensure system stability, security, and functionality.
- Support Magento upgrades, security patches, and continuous platform improvements while working in an Agile environment using Git, Bitbucket, and Jira.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Magento 2.
- Proven experience as a Magento 2 Developer with a strong focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Solid understanding of Magento 2 architecture, backend functionality, APIs, database structures, and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience developing custom Magento 2 modules and extensions following Magento development best practices.
- Experience with NetSuite, Celigo, and CRM systems is a strong advantage, especially NetSuite.
- Experience working with Git and collaboration tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Basic English communication skills with the ability to read and understand technical documentation.
