About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own product monitoring spanning credit risk, payments, usage, and other key areas
  • Build executive dashboards measuring actuals against forecasts
  • Build forecasting and projections frameworks for portfolio metrics
  • Prepare and present material for executives
  • Perform ad-hoc root cause analysis and remediation analysis with relevant business leaders
  • Support simulation of portfolio covenants for major risk strategy changes
  • Institutionalize card and loan portfolio forecasting and establish monitoring for the corporate model
  • Collaborate with Capital Management, Risk, Finance, Core, Accounting, and other business leaders on analyses and lender negotiation materials
  • Collaborate with engineering and data governance to establish reliable product tapes for joint partner utilization
  • Build portfolio loss forecasting and support loss provisioning projections for Finance and Accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of relevant analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of relevant analytical experience with a master’s degree in a quantitative field
  • Quantitative field such as Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Excited about acquiring new technical skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or SAS
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Sigma, or a similar BI tool
  • Proficient in forecasting models such as time series forecasting
  • Experience in credit cards, loans, or other financial services
  • Passion for solving real-world problems with data
  • Ability to see the big picture and think long-term
  • Growth mindset and proactive ownership
  • Ability to apply the 80/20 principle and get things done
  • Must be open to occasional business travel to Los Angeles and New York as needed
