About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a senior technical and operational liaison between Sunbelt Rentals and LA28 Energy.
Provide expert guidance on temporary power generation, distribution, cabling, and load management.
Support development and execution of the integrated Olympic power master plan across venues.
Translate design concepts into executable scopes, schedules, and logistics plans.
Oversee budgets, rate cards, scope changes, and change orders.
Identify and mitigate Games-time power delivery risks through contingency, redundancy, and resilience planning.
Perform quality control reviews to ensure adherence to Sunbelt Rentals and LA28 standards.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and leadership of Olympic-experienced operational power teams.
Make regular trips to the Olympic host city during early project phases.
Transition to full-time onsite residence as the Olympic Games approach and during the Games.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Power Systems, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline required
5+ years of experience managing temporary power delivery for major multi-venue international sporting events, including previous Olympic Games
Knowledge of organizing committee structures, international federations, and multinational delivery teams
Experience leading power delivery across multiple venues under compressed timelines and high operational risk
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design principles and temporary power systems in complex, multi-venue environments
Strong knowledge of project management tools and collaboration platforms, including spreadsheets and scheduling software
Demonstrated experience guiding cross-functional and distributed teams
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced problem-solving skills
Effective delegation and team coordination skills
Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making
Strong organizational and time-management skills
