About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a senior technical and operational liaison between Sunbelt Rentals and LA28 Energy.
- Provide expert guidance on temporary power generation, distribution, cabling, and load management.
- Support development and execution of the integrated Olympic power master plan across venues.
- Translate design concepts into executable scopes, schedules, and logistics plans.
- Oversee budgets, rate cards, scope changes, and change orders.
- Identify and mitigate Games-time power delivery risks through contingency, redundancy, and resilience planning.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure adherence to Sunbelt Rentals and LA28 standards.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and leadership of Olympic-experienced operational power teams.
- Make regular trips to the Olympic host city during early project phases.
- Transition to full-time onsite residence as the Olympic Games approach and during the Games.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Power Systems, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline required
- 5+ years of experience managing temporary power delivery for major multi-venue international sporting events, including previous Olympic Games
- Knowledge of organizing committee structures, international federations, and multinational delivery teams
- Experience leading power delivery across multiple venues under compressed timelines and high operational risk
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design principles and temporary power systems in complex, multi-venue environments
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and collaboration platforms, including spreadsheets and scheduling software
- Demonstrated experience guiding cross-functional and distributed teams
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills

- Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making
