About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, analyze and evaluate claim experience for trends that may impact renewals and make recommendations on renewal positioning
- Collaborate with underwriting to articulate rationale for renewal increases
- Develop renewal strategy and supporting rationale with the Account Executive for presentation to the client
- Develop renewal letters and supporting documentation for the Account Executive to present to the client
- Support Account Executives on the Business Development team to maximize renewal outcomes
- Optimize required rates and act as a liaison between underwriting and business development
- Collect and analyze data and provide insights into claim experience
- Report to the Director, Business Development
- Does not directly interact with advisors or clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 5 years in a group underwriting/technical analyst role
- Post-secondary education and a CEBS or GBA designation
- Solid understanding of underwriting and renewal methodology, and Group Benefits products and processes
- Strong knowledge of advisor environment and expectations
- Ability to creatively position renewals to maximize renewal outcomes
