About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build trusted relationships with leading consulting firms and large advisory organizations
  • Develop and execute an annual plan to strengthen consultant endorsements and product ratings
  • Implement coverage strategies for manager research teams and advisory firms
  • Communicate new products, solutions, and enhancements, including Sun Life’s Delegated DC and SLC DB offerings
  • Address partner information needs and collaborate with Sales Support on investment content
  • Lead investment due diligence initiatives with Portfolio Management, Responsible Investment, Product, Marketing, Institutional Business, and Finance
  • Help maintain accurate and timely database content and coordinate risk and governance reviews
  • Review quarterly fund and solution commentaries for clear, client-friendly insights
  • Strengthen research and insights for SLGI’s Thought Leadership Program
  • Share insights and provide technical support to Business Development and Client Relationship teams
  • Contribute to competitive positioning assessments and cross-functional go-to-market strategies
  • Build lasting consultant and partner relationships, advance strategic priorities, and support asset growth and retention

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of experience driving institutional business development and managing senior client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, pension plans, and the group retirement market
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and navigate complex organizations
  • Collaborative leadership style and ability to drive alignment without direct authority
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Strategic, client-focused mindset with a track record of solving challenges and delivering results
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, eVestment, and related business-development tools
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • University degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • CFA and/or ASA designation is a strong asset
  • Licensing as required for specific markets
