Key responsibilities & impact

  • Report to the Chief Underwriter and Claims Risk Officer
  • Travel and represent the organization at industry and sales events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Decision-making authority exceeding $10,000,000 for Life and $1,000,000 for Critical Illness
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Client and results focus with proactive service orientation
  • Strong knowledge of medical and financial risk factors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and balance competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external partners
  • 10–15 years of experience as an Individual Life Underwriter
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • ALU certificate
  • Commitment to ongoing education with a goal of attaining FALU and FLMI designations
  • Bilingual oral and written French and English required only in Quebec
  • Ability to work with management, product, reinsurance partners, advisors, distribution teams, and physicians
  • Some travel and representation at industry and sales events
