About the role
- Manage the pricing methodology for different business segments
- Establish Target Loss Ratios for different business segments
- Provide analysis and pricing recommendations for new product initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments in support of pricing
- Provide training and development for underwriting team
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance within department
- Participate in corporate projects and initiatives
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- 10 years industry experience with a minimum of 5 years large group underwriting experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of the health insurance business and financials
- 5 years’ management experience, including hiring, managing, leading and developing staff
- PC skills required, MS Windows environment
- MS Word, Excel, Access, other database tools, and automated underwriting system
- Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, planning and organizing skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
