About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and facilitate the quarterly and annual external, internal, and regulatory reporting process for Sun Life Financial and Sun Life Assurance
Prepare data for the Financial Statements and Notes, Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), Financial Supplement, Management Reporting and Life-1 filing
Liaise with various stakeholders across Corporate Finance and Business Groups to understand changing business requirements and deliver on their needs
Identify process improvement opportunities in reporting processes and provide recommendations
Learn about Sun Life's financial reporting and business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting, commerce, or business undergraduate program at a post-secondary institution
Intention to obtain a CPA designation
Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
Ability to thrive in an environment with pressing deadlines and constantly changing conditions
Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership ability
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Workiva
Strong organizational and time management skills
Flexibility and commitment to work overtime as required
