About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the GRS Fees & Billing Team, comprised of both onshore and offshore team members, fostering effective collaboration and operational excellence across multiple locations.
  • Ensure fees are accurately set up, collected from clients, and validated against client agreements and the new billing system.
  • Validate new client fee setups, fee changes, and product changes are properly configured in the system, added to the invoicing tracker, and reconciled to client agreements.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate client invoices for fee payment.
  • Conduct fee variance analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes of billing variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Review the work of billing staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards; provide feedback and support.
  • Prepare and deliver management reporting on billing performance, fee collection status, system compliance, and fee variance trends to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide support to internal teams to investigate and resolve disputes or inquiries concerning fees charged and invoices.
  • Support regulatory, compliance, accounting, and audit requirements through accurate documentation and timely reporting.
  • Ensure routine manual tasks are prepared, reviewed, and processed accurately with appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Maintain and strengthen the control environment by identifying and reporting control deficiencies and supporting the implementation of new controls or process improvements.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and coaching to develop staff capabilities and ensure consistent adherence to billing standards.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests from internal teams and support ongoing projects that enhance billing operations and processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong people leader with management experience.
  • Experience as a Billing Manager within the insurance and financial services industry.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate using proven time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be effective when collaborating with various internal teams.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Excel (including VBA and Power Pivot functionality).
