About the role

  • Support multiple delivery teams deploying solutions using RPA (Blue Prism, Pega Robotics), Power Platform, and Jira
  • Lead Agile project teams, monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and managing dependencies between projects and workstreams
  • Facilitate all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)
  • Build and manage stakeholder, application users, and program owner relationships and communicate project progress effectively
  • Drive continuous improvement in team processes and project delivery
  • Contribute to the team's overall strategy and program management
  • Gather business requirements, support development and testing as needed
  • Occasionally work outside regular hours and travel to support critical timelines and collaborate with Sun Life teams in other regions

Requirements

  • Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years plus of progressive experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or a Quality Assurance Analyst
  • Core competency as a project manager
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, development or testing
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working as part of an agile team
  • Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in group insurance operations
  • Certified Scrum Master preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean process improvement practices preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Automation Hub)
  • Experience with RPA technologies (Blue Prism, Pega Robotics), Power Platform
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills
  • Ability to develop presentations and reports
  • Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity
  • Ability to communicate at different levels and translate between business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Periodic travel may be required
  • Some project work may be required outside of regular office hours to support critical timelines and deliverables
