About the role
- Evaluate, price, propose rate and strategy to acquire and renew National Account clients
- In-depth risk assessment and pricing of prospective and inforce customers
- Provide Customer reporting and analytics
- Partner with sales, national accounts practice leader and home office subject matter experts to develop comprehensive pricing and solutions
- Recommend changes in policies and procedures to be more responsive to the emerging client and market needs
- Proactively manage inforce block of business to maintain profit and persistency expectations
- Mentoring and underwriter development
Requirements
- Require a minimum of 7+ years of group underwriting experience
- Highly skilled in both written and verbal communications
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficient PC skills, including Excel skills, and word processing applications
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- In-depth understanding of industry contractual language and provisions
