About the role
- Maintain pricing models, production reporting and processes; provide analysis to support business cases, strategies, and senior management decisions
- Act as the first point of contact for advisors and brokers to provide customized pricing/business solutions on large cases and special requests
- Manage large case pricing and special requests for fixed annuity products by responding to advisor and sales distribution requests through the large case pricing inbox
- Present sales and profitability dashboard metrics at weekly team meetings
- Troubleshoot problem cases and provide clarification and consulting services to Service Teams and Customer Relations
- Consult with internal partners such as Asset Liability Management (ALM), Finance and Individual Operations on large case pricing, projects and processes
- Provide insightful business analysis and profitability updates to management
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative team member who continuously strives to improve the client experience, our team, and our processes
- Understanding of actuarial principles and practices preferred
- Experience with Axis and/or VBA is an asset
- Experience with fixed annuity products (Payout Annuities, Structured Settlements)
