About the role
- Provide advanced analytics support within the Business Analytics function
- Develop and monitor predictive models to support pricing, underwriting and clinical review processes
- Apply advanced data science techniques to solve business problems across a broad range of data analysis functions including predictive analysis, data modeling, visualization and data profiling
- Collaborate with key subject matter experts across various functional teams within the Health & Risk Solution business
- Extract and analyze internal and external data sources to help answer key business problems related to risk assessment
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in developing and implementing data science techniques
- BS/MS/PhD in a statistical, mathematical, or technical field (e.g., data science, computer science, actuarial science)
- Experience with actuarial/pricing, underwriting or related concepts utilized in the health insurance field preferred
- Experience with pricing/underwriting advanced analytics application within property & casualty insurance sector is welcomed
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Strong knowledge of data science including conditioning, modeling, integration and visualization
- Commitment to data compliance, model governance and security protocols
- Strong business acumen to understand the impact of work on business stakeholders.
