About the role
- Process Plan Member Update Forms and extend disability benefits
- Assist clients with the CPP/QPP application process
- Follow up with clients regarding part-time earnings
- Prepare and close LTD (Long-Term Disability) files upon expiry
- Review and update Power of Attorney and authorization information
- Manage address and EFT (electronic funds transfer) changes
- Investigate returned mail
- Handle inbound and outbound calls
- Foster an environment that promotes team member accountability and autonomy
- Represent Sun Life professionally, both internally and externally, and collaborate effectively with partners and clients
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with a client-first approach
- Demonstrated active listening skills with Plan Members and Plan Sponsors
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Proactive, able to take initiative and exercise sound judgment
- Demonstrated resilience when taking on new responsibilities or handling difficult situations
- Commitment to and enthusiasm for continuous learning — viewing each challenge as an opportunity for growth
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Bilingual (French and English, oral and written) required for Quebec to respond to calls from English- and French-speaking clients across Canada and worldwide
