About the role

  • Providing direction, inputs, and sign-off on projects which can affect assigned domain/s
  • Ensuring overall integrity, sustainability, and robustness of system design across the entire system’s development lifecycle
  • Aligning design and recommendations with the company's overall systems strategy and IT standards
  • Designing solutions to solve business problems
  • Working closely with Project Teams on developing Solutions and guiding Systems Analysts and Developers
  • Establishing domain expertise and serving as solutions subject matter expert
  • Providing design direction and recommendations in terms of software solutions, infrastructure, methodologies, skills and talents, and innovation
  • Co-creating architecture submissions along with the project teams and aligning with Architecture Team prior to presentation
  • Performing proof of concepts needed to support the viability of the proposed solution
  • Performing development tasks as needed to augment the development team

Requirements

  • At least 4 year experience in system analysis, solutioning and coding preferably in insurance or financial industry
  • Must have strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Good interviewing skills (for design presentation with different stakeholders)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Exposure to Life Insurance, Pre-need, Mutual Funds or Trust systems and/or operations
  • Knowledge in Systems Development Life Cycles, Agile / Waterfall methodologies
  • Knowledge in the following development principles: Efficiency and reusability, Maintainability and portability, Security and Performance
  • Knowledge in technical tools and coding languages: Micro front end approaches and tools, Web component, Angular/React, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Invision, Java or NodeJS, jUnit, Bitbucket, Jenkins (CI/CD), Spring framework, Spring boot, JSON, XML, SoapUI, Docker / Kubernetes, Cloud platform (AWS / Azure), Event driven architecture (Kafka, Event Bridge, SQS), Architectural patterns eg. Light4J, API gateway.
