About the role
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Quality Assurance unit and the operational laboratories
- Planning and management of personnel and technical resources in the QC area
- Ensuring quality control and product release from raw materials to finished products
- Further development of quality, testing and laboratory processes in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Ensuring safe, compliant and efficient laboratory processes
- Responsible for maintaining certification to DIN ISO 9001, preparing the management review, and supporting other certification activities at the site
- Budget and cost-center responsibility, including investment and maintenance planning
- Promoting and developing the safety and quality culture at the site
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Process Engineering, Coatings/Pigment Technology or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience leading quality or application laboratories
- Solid knowledge of colorimetry and common test methods for pigments
- Experience with quality management systems and certifications
- Practical knowledge of SAP QM is an advantage
- Very good German and English skills
