About the role
- Support and contribute to the growth of merchant inks, digital inks and specialties business by technical service request (lab work, demonstration material, sales tools and related activities etc.) based on customer and market requirements
- Conduct benchmarking tests against competitor’s products to identify the strengths and weaknesses of our own products
- Perform technical evaluations for new product development, new shade formulation, and related initiatives
- Ensure the delivery of reliable test results, high-quality test reports and standardized documentation (in English)
- Operate lab equipment safely and strictly in accordance with the established procedures and SOPs
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organized lab environment by implementing 5S management practices
- Track and monitor the inventory levels of lab resources and testing materials to guarantee supply availability
- Provide professional technical support to enhance customer satisfaction
- Address technical inquiries via web, phone, email channels & deliver on-site technical solutions at customer facilities
- Conduct trouble shooting and resolution of product quality-related issues
- Deliver technical training sessions for distributors and customers as needed
- Prepare promotional materials in support of new product launches
- Oversee the proper classification, storage, handling and disposal of the lab hazardous waste
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in chemistry, application chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related subjects
- 5+ years of lab working experience
- State of art know-how of ink formulations and applications
- Effective communication with customers to build up positive customer relationships and ensure the smooth resolution of issues
- Familiar with chemical lab operations, test workflow, record keeping & data management, sample tracking, chemicals handling, lab safety and more
- Fluent written and spoken English
- MS Office 365, Labjob software
- Teamwork spirit, responsible attitude, can work under pressure
