About the role

  • Conduct initial assessments of patient enquiries, symptoms, and concerns using established clinical protocols.
  • Determine the urgency of patient needs and direct them to the appropriate service (e.g., GP appointment, urgent care, emergency services).
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively in the practice management system.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups as required.
  • Address general administrative queries related to services, processes, and paperwork.
  • Practice within the full scope of your nursing qualifications and in accordance with AHPRA standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain all necessary professional registrations and certifications.

Requirements

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent command of written and spoken English with a clear, articulate, and professional phone manner.
  • Clinical Experience: Proven experience in a clinical nursing role with strong assessment and triage skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers, phone systems, and practice management software.
  • Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
  • AHPRA Registration: Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Experience in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or virtual care.
