About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze trends in occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room), and other key performance indicators; identify variances versus forecast and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive and timely performance critiques reviewing prior-period results and the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Develop and maintain short-term (weekly) and long-term (monthly, quarterly, annual) revenue forecasts and budgets, as required by individual hotel service agreements.
  • Manage transient and group rate strategies, including daily rate review and updates via RMS/CRS/Pricing Systems, lead time management, minimum stay restrictions, and overbooking controls.
  • Review all group business (tentative and definite) to ensure alignment with strategy and evaluate displacement impact on room revenue and RevPAR.
  • Ensure consistency of pricing across all distribution channels (brand CRS, GDS, OTA, direct) and optimize commission spend.
  • Work with General Managers and Operations Managers on inventory controls, oversell levels, and demand-based allocation of room types.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive set and market analysis, tracking trends, event calendars, seasonality, and local demand drivers.
  • Maintain historical data and demand calendars, including event impact, promotions, and occupancy surges, to proactively adjust strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver revenue management reports and insights for Owners, Corporate Offices, General Managers, and Operations teams.
  • Conduct strategy meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align pricing, packaging, rate fences, promotions, and upsell initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to hotel teams, including Reservations and Sales, on revenue management tools, systems, and best practices as needed.
  • When contracted, assist properties with additional operational tasks such as maintaining OTA content, brand website updates, and online review responses.
  • Assist in the development and management of LNR (Local Negotiated Rate) accounts, supporting sales strategies as appropriate.
  • Maintain a quiet, professional workspace with reliable high-speed internet for client interactions.
  • Work independently, manage multiple clients, and deliver consistent, high-quality service in a remote environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of portfolio revenue management experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of on-property hotel operations experience required
  • Prior experience with branded hotel systems and multi-property portfolios, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is preferred.
  • Candidates must be certified in, or demonstrate strong working knowledge of, at least two major hotel brand revenue management systems.
  • Certification such as CHRM (Certified Hotel Revenue Manager) or CRME (Certified Revenue Management Executive) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in forecasting, yield management, and interpreting PMS/RMS data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple properties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom.
  • Adaptable in a rapidly changing business environment with the ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts.
  • Ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver high standards of service and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple hotel portfolios while meeting client service expectations.
  • Limited travel may be required (approximately 1–2 trips per year) to attend company or brand events.
