About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in controlling and supervising the daily operation of various market transactions to achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy
Provide guidance and advice to subordinates and monitor their work performance
Confirm the accuracy of reports for Management, local authority and Head Office
Monitor settlement risk and resolve irregular problems to complete settlement procedures
Approve transactions in systems and approve payments after confirming trade details with counterparties
Post entries and monitor completeness and correctness of exchanged documentation
Support the group head in setting and achieving departmental business objectives
Streamline operations and strengthen risk control
Prepare operational manuals and provide staff training
Lead new projects and assignments
Perform other duties assigned by the group head or management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Preferably a degree holder in Banking Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
Post-graduate qualifications would be an advantage
At least 10 years’ experience in treasury market operations
5 years’ experience in a staff supervision and management position
Sound knowledge of treasury market products and operational processes, including Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, securities settlement operations, Debt Capital Markets operations, securities clearing systems, SWIFT, CHATS and CMU systems
Good understanding of banking operations, market infrastructure, global settlement practices and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of OTC Derivatives Transaction Repository reporting and other regulatory reporting obligations
Team player with leadership, coaching, management and interpersonal skills
Good command of both English and Chinese
Proficient in MS Office applications
Satisfactory completion of the Mandatory Reference Check process for in-scope positions
