About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting to the Treasury Customer Section Co-Chief, Global Markets and Treasury Department Americas Division-Marketing Group, the Sales Analyst provides support for marketing and customer support functions.
- Service SMBC's FX and Money Market customers in North America and Japan as needed.
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and concerns and communicate feedback to desk.
- Transact Money Market and FX transactions via phone, email, and e-platforms.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Banking, Trading and Lending preferred
- Business fluency in English, Japanese (is an asset but not required)
- Functional knowledge and understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Money Markets (including REPO) and Fixed Income products
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills including familiarity with VBA, SQL, and other coding languages.
